Harendra Singh: The Compassionate Visionary Behind VOSA Hapur

Harendra Singh is the heart and soul behind Voice of Stray Animals (VOSA) Hapur, a sanctuary that gives paralyzed and disabled dogs a second chance at life. Once a software engineer on a traditional path, Singh's journey took a profound turn that now defines one of India's most remarkable animal welfare efforts.

Through his leadership, VOSA has rescued over 400 paralyzed dogs, and continues to care for more than 200 animals at its dedicated shelter in Hapur, Uttar Pradesh.

A Life Changed by Compassion

Singh's transformation began during a solo motorcycle ride shortly after buying his first bike. At a petrol station, he noticed a dog dragging its hind legs. For several days, he fed it, hoping it would recover. But it eventually died—alone and in pain—from injuries that could have been treated.

That moment shattered him. It also awakened a lifelong mission.

From Engineering to Advocacy

Driven by that encounter, Singh left behind his software job and poured his savings into helping animals no one else would. He funded the mission by starting a small business, eventually co-founding Redlories Sales & Marketing Pvt. Ltd., channeling its earnings into his rescue work.

In 2022, he formally registered VOSA Hapur Foundation (VOSAH) as a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating paralyzed dogs—often overlooked or euthanized elsewhere.

A Home for the Forgotten

VOSA takes in dogs from across India—Delhi, Noida, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, and beyond—offering:

  • Wheelchairs for mobility
  • Physiotherapy and long-term shelter
  • Two nutritious meals a day
  • Endless compassion and care

Most dogs arrive after road accidents, with drivers often fleeing the scene. Singh and his team work tirelessly to ensure these animals get a second chance.

Impact, Belief, and Urgency

"People say paralyzed dogs should be put down. But we've shown that with love and care, they can live full, happy lives."

Singh's work proves it—400 lives saved and counting. But the shelter needs more help:

  • X-ray equipment
  • More wheelchairs
  • Medical supplies and transport
  • Dog food and hygiene essentials

With 10 new rescue requests every day, VOSA is operating at full capacity.

Moving Forward with Purpose

Despite challenges, Singh's vision is unwavering: to build a world where no animal is abandoned because of disability. His partnerships (like with VGR Official), media features, and a strong digital presence are helping grow this mission.

But the core of VOSA remains unchanged—a man, a mission, and hundreds of lives saved one dog at a time.
